Hello, my name is Alexis Cunningham, and I am an inspiring student actress at BOA Stage and Screen Academy located in Birmingham. With a passion of performing on both stage and screen, I have fortunately performed on London's West End in the production 'Troubles R Brewin', enhancing my vocal skills as an actress. Moreover, I have also adapted different skills from working on-screen, shown in the Mockumentary 'Only In Brum' filmed in Birmingham. Eager to expand my on-screen knowledge, I have recently ventured to London, making an appearance as an extra in the TV show 'Sweet Pea'. I would be very grateful if you could get in touch with me if you would be interested to connect about any job roles that would fit me.

Fortunately, I have been trained and educated by BOA Stage and Screen Academy for the past two years. I have been able to learn so much from the teachers here, dating back to ancient Greek storytelling and performing arts, to medieval theatre and Shakespearean drama, eventually leading to modern acting techniques and styles seen in film. I have further learnt the key figures like, Konstantin Stanislavski, Bertolt Brecht and Lee Strasberg and there acting theories and practices, shaping the way we can approach our future crafts.

Only In Brum/ Supporting Actress

-Year- 2023

During the summer of 2023, I was given the opportunity to play the role of Leah in a mockumentary, one of the lead characters childhood best friends, Abi. Leah was a young woman who was brought up in a less fortunate background and grew up with the wrong crowd on the streets, where she met Abi. She was a very strong and fiery character, however has a kind heart towards the people she truly cares about. From this production, I was able to learn skills of versatility and range from playing Leah as she is a very different character from the others I have played in the past.
