Projects

On this page, I have gathered multiple different videos and pictured of my experience on various sets, either screen or stage, that I have fortunately been able to work on, either independently or with BOA Stage and Screen Academy.

'The Protest' Audition

Supporting actress- Alexis Yung

With BOA Stage and Screen Academy, I was given a great opportunity to be apart of a mini one-shot film created by the students here called 'The Protest', which evolved around a climate change protest centered in Birmingham. I decided to audition for the role of Alexis Yung, a bright and bubbly character, which allowed me to embrace the chance to personify a passionate environmental activist. Portraying Alexis Yung allowed me to explore emotional chasms of someone deeply affected by the cause of the protest.

Broken Destinies Scene

Main protagonist- Charlotte Winks

In a personal project of my own, I decided to create a mini duologue scene, which was crafted, directed and produced by myself and Eli (my partner in the scene). Our duologue, Broken Destinies, centered around a broken couple who are destined to be together, however are pushed away from each other by the influence of people in their lives causing an argumentative and emotionally abusing relationship between them. By playing my character, Charlotte Winks, I was able to gain insight into the dynamics of abusive relationships and the complexities of manipulation especially when someone is so blind to love like my character.

Improvisation Workshop

A shopkeeper

During my time at BOA Stage and Screen Academy, I also indulged in many improvisation workshops allowing me to become more confident with my improvisation skills for the future. In this small project that we did, my partner and I created a small improvisation scene between a shop keeper and a hungry customer with little money to buy anything but to buy the guilt from the shopkeeper so they can have a chocolate bar for free. Playing my character, the shopkeeper, I delved into times in my own life where I felt extreamly guilty about something and used that to help me respond to my partner in the most natural way without a script to lean on, which was very beneficial with my performing as I had quick and realistic responses.
